Beka's arm-guards are leather. And each one has four strips of metal trim that are actually thin knives. I'm not quite sure how that works.
I'm guessing that the gorget is leather, but I didn't notice one way or the other in Bloodhound. Possibly Terrier would say, when she gets her gear.
(She does have armor, too, by the way, for her back and chest (and maybe arms?). But she leaves it off sometimes because it's hot. And then people usually try to stab her (which isn't a spoiler; that's just the way life is, especially if you work in law enforcement).)
I actually like what she's wearing on the Bloodhound cover a lot more than the Terrier cover. Here, take a look.
